On Friday, June 8th, 2026. The 4th and 5th grade classroom of EUREKA! took to the skies. Colorado Mesa's Rocket Team, "Rowdy's Rockets," guided the students through building and launching their own rockets, making them one step closer to becoming rocket scientists.
On Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Rowdy's Rocket Team competed in the first annual Colorado Space Grand Consortium Rocket Challenge. Rowdy's Rockets launched "Garfield." Garfield was named not after the popular lasagna-loving cat, but after the hike in Grand Junction, which, if you ask anyone who's done it, is 2,500 feet of incline, straight up. Just like the hike, Garfield needed to fly 2,500 ft in the air. The team flew within 1% of their goal, reaching 2,486 feet.
